What a blessing...

We are home from the hospital and couldn't be happier! Aleigh Michelle was born on 1/23/09 at 2:07 pm. Our little girl weighed 8 pounds 15 ounces and is 21 inches long. I have to say that labor was not that bad... They started my pitocin at 7:00 am but I did not start "hard" contractions until about 8:30 am. I wanted to wait until I was 7-8 cm dilated until I got an epidural so it wouldn't slow my labor down. Finally got my epidural around 11:00 am but it took a long time for the pain to go away... contractions are not fun! I started pushing around 1:50 pm and 15 minutes later I was holding my angel! We feel so blessed to have such a healthy little girl and we appreciate every one's thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately I am too tired to download pictures to my computer tonight but I promise to get some up tomorrow.

Waiting on Baby Aleigh

Well, this is the last day I can say I am waiting on Baby Aleigh. I am being induced tomorrow at 6:00 am. I am very excited but very nervous as well. I have been hoping and praying for this day for weeks and now it will be here tomorrow! When I walked out of the doctors office today I didn't know if I was going to jump for joy or cry... such mixed emotions! Please keep us in your prayers and I will try to update with pictures as soon as possible. I can't wait to meet our little girl!!
